Dit Da Jow (Northern Shaolin) Glycerate contains no alcohol the herbs being macerated (extracted) with natural glycerine & distilled water.  Dit Da Jow Liniment (Northern Shaolin) Glycerate Concentrate is the same formulation as the traditional Dit Da Jow Liniment (Northern Shaolin) but is alcohol (ethanol) free.  The liniment contains a small amount of preservative E2O2 potassium Sorbate and E211 Sodium Benzoate at 0.5% level these are required as the product contains no alcohol and they purely added to increase the shell life of the product.  Both these preservatives are completely harmless and used in a wide range of skin care and beauty products

Dit Da Jow (Northern Shaolin) Glycerate Concentrate supplied is macerated (soaked in Glycerine). The nineteen different Chinese herbs are ground into a powder to give an increased surface and to improve the efficiency of the maceration process into the glycerine / Water.
